I have become intrigued and somewhat obsessed by the mystical nature of the octopus. Intelligent, adaptable, powerful. Her eight arms speak of balance and harmony. Like the ocean waters in which she lives she ingeniously blends and contorts to fit into her environment. Qualities symbolic of flexibility, adaptability, and creativity, the key to survival as we move into evermore challenging times.
As with all of my original design jewelry, I hand carved this Octopus Key in wax then had her cast in reclaimed Sterling Silver.
She comes on an 20" silver chain in a lovely royal blue velveteen pouch with polishing cloth.
She measures 2 & 1/4" x 7/8"
